Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives – and Young Hip and Married was a huge part of that. We knew Stephen Anderson was the officiant for us immediately during our initial call when he expressed his passion for sharing couples love stories and understood our vision for a ceremony with emotion and also lots of laughter.

Without a doubt our custom ceremony was our favourite part of the day, and we still have our guests commenting on how it was theirs as well. We will forever treasure the beautiful ceremony Stephen wrote for us and cannot thank him enough for making our dream day a reality.

If you are debating a custom ceremony – do not think any longer!! It is sooo worth it! And Stephen is AMAZING and we have no doubt would be a worthwhile addition to any other couple’s wedding day.

We had the amazing Melinda Orlowski officiate our wedding on Pender Island a week ago and she was simply wonderful. From the moment we met her, we felt understood, celebrated and really safe in her hands.

Our big day will never be one to forget thanks to YH&M! Beth was our officiant, and let us tell you we couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! She too was full of personality, and created such a beautiful script for our intimate ceremony at Widgeon Creek.

Our photographer, Erica, was amazing. Despite feeling awkward when taking photos (we’re not ones to pose for mushy gushy photos) she had us laughing throughout, and even though awkward we felt comfortable.

We couldn’t have asked for a better crew from YH&M! Now we fully understand why people say your wedding day is the best day of your life. 150% recommend YH&M. We will be talking about this for the rest of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We are SO damn happy!

Our officiant – Lani Brunn – was absolute magic. She made everything so “us” — very meaningful and personal. Nothing was canned, boring, or cookie-cutter. We appreciated her kindness and humour, and the warmth she showed not just us, but everyone there. Out of the 10 people who were in attendance, all of them have said it was the most authentic wedding they’d ever been to. Yay!!

If we get the chance to marry each other again (or renew our vows) you can bet your butt we’ll be booking with the YHM team again. Unexpected bonus: Lani has coincidentally married 4 other couples we know, and everyone LOVES her. Jane officiated our wedding this past weekend and it was amazing! We really wanted a wedding that was short and sweet but had a lot of fun and humor to it. Jane captured all of that! All our guests said the ceremony was so much fun and so “us” and we really appreciate how Jane could capture so much about the two of us.

She was also so quick to respond, even when we had to move the wedding date, and it was super easy to schedule meetings and our rehearsal. Dealing with YH&M was a stress-free process! Jordan was our officiant and we could not have asked for a better turn out. Ask for Wade. He’s fun loving, kind and likes dogs! We had a blast working with him and our guests still talk about how awesome he was! And so down to wear a custom jacket I made him for the occasion!

Wade sees the magic in love, from our first meeting with him hearing his passion for people, relationships whether romantic or otherwise. He made wedding planning so fun. You can tell he genuinely loved getting to know us, getting to know our family and friends. He was up for every challenge, writing our ceremony was truly a collaborative job between us.

The compliments on him and his personality and his love are still being brought up to us. It is such a huge part of the day and our lives and he breezed through it like an old family friend.
