The whole experience from start to finish was amazing! My wife and I booked in our zoom pre call with Jane and instantly knew she would be our officiant. After our pre zoom call, Jane was very professional and prompt with helping script the ceremony! On the day of the wedding, Jane was nothing less than amazing! A lot of our wedding guests even stated that Jane was the best officiant they’ve seen! If you’re on the fence with picking officiants, Young Hip & Married is the way to go!!

Loved working with Young Hip and Married for our intimate elopement! I’m easily stressed out and wanted to have a small elopement with close friends and family. YHM was simple and straight forward when leading up to the wedding. We were sent the script before hand to know exactly what was going to be said. Our officiant Jane was so nice and easy going! And even though we had seen the script beforehand, Jane’s delivery was so natural and felt so personal! Even though we went with a small elopement it still felt very legitimately like a small wedding experience! It was exactly what we wanted. We had Erica (EricaMillerPhotography) as our photographer. She was so fun to work with and the photos turned out Great! So Glad Jane and Erica could be a part of our beautiful day! Young Hip and Married was definitely a good choice for us!

Jane Halton recently officiated our wedding. She was perfect to work with. We had a vision in mind for our ceremony and learned throughout the process with her that what we actually wanted, wasn’t what we thought we wanted when we had started the process. Our ceremony turned out perfectly, and that was in large part as a result of her guidance, patience and flexibility with us.

Jane was a huge help from our first consult with her through writing our ceremony and vows. She was very responsive and answered all of our questions about how to structure our ceremony with very helpful detail. Also the ceremony she wrote was great for us, we got a lot of comments from guests saying it was the best ceremony they had ever attended!

She was super helpful in making suggestions and seeking the right feedback from us and delivered in an exceptional way on the day of. Young Hip and Married did an amazing job guiding us, preparing us, and facilitating the ceremony from the very beginning to the very end. The rehearsal was so helpful and Jane did an amazing job with everything. The vow writing course was very helpful, especially for my partner who is not skilled at writing. Our custom script was wonderful and I could not have asked for better.

We got married by Jane Halton this Saturday. She made our ceremony simple and beautiful. Highly recommend!

Jane is a great officiant! We are very happy to have her marrying us. Even it was rainy on our elopement day, she did a great job on keeping our elopement run smoothly. We went through this company for our elopement and they were great! Everyone was really quick to respond to emails, and answer any questions we had. Jane the officiant was amazing; we changed our vows last minute and she was super nice about it and made the switch almost immediately. Clint, the photographer, was great! He suggested poses and saw details in things we never would have thought of. We can’t wait to see the pictures! The only thing I would have changed would be longer on the mountain (we did the helicopter elopement), but in saying that we did know the time limitations before hand, it just went by super super quickly in reality! It was so easy to coordinate our elopement ceremony with YH&M. We reached out via email about a month beforehand, told them our date, and we were good to go. They also sourced a photographer for us. We were able to communicate easily with our office contact at YH&M, our officiant (Jane, who was awesome!), and our photographer (Emily, who was also awesome!). All were helpful and professional. It was very affordable as well. We didn’t know where to start when planning our small, backyard wedding. I Googled different options and was happy to see the range of packages offered by Young Hip & Married. We booked the elopement package with 90 minutes of photography and it was just enough. Our officiant was Jane and she was really collaborative and responsive when developing our ceremony. She was lovely to work with! And Erica Miller was our photographer. We are just thrilled with our pictures!! She was even able to get my camera-shy husband to look natural. All in all, it was a really great package that made all of the wedding planning way easier!

We recently did our wedding through Young Hip & Married and it was honestly perfect. The wedding was small, intimate, easy to set up, and went off flawlessly. We wanted something COVID-friendly with immediate family, and Erica gave us a few solid options and packages – we eventually landed on Stanley Park as the location. Erica, Jane, and co were super friendly, responsive, and provided easy documentation and guidance throughout the whole process. Honestly, everything was just super easy and really helped de-stress the event.

The wedding itself was great. Erica helped us arrange and time everything, and was a great photographer throughout. Jane was a great officiant and did a simple but meaningful ceremony with vows and rings exchanged. If you want to do an intimate, family-focused wedding – can’t recommend Young Hip & Married enough!

We had a great experience with Jane. She gave us lots of resources so we could figure out what we wanted for our ceremony. We were able to choose our vows from the great list that she gave us and she walked us through each detail and listened to all of our wants and revisions to the general template that she had. It was important that our ceremony was simple, short, and intimate – which meant it was more informal than your regular ceremony. Many of our guests said it was perfect – that it wasn’t so long and full of pomp as other weddings – but felt special and reflected who we were as individuals and a couple. Neither of us are religious, and my wife feels that some traditions go against her feminist beliefs. Jane ensured our voices were heard and the result was a ceremony that had us laughing, had us crying, and made us remember that this moment doesn’t last long – so we have to enjoy and savor everyone minute.

Jane was great and followed through even with the challenges of covid. We appreciated her working with us to find a solution that allowed us to keep our special day. Highly recommend this team.

Young Hip & Married also offer the option of helping set up pre-marriage counselling and tell you where you can get a marriage license. The communication was incredible and extremely helpful. Our ceremony was the best part of our wedding day and that is all thanks to Young Hip & Married! Jane Halton officiated our ceremony and from start to finish, it was perfect. We booked Jane with only a month to go due to some covid changes and she immediately jumped into action. She wrote us a beautiful script that perfectly told our personal story and reflected all of our values. She was so open to changes. It was the perfect combination of allowing us to be creative and make our ceremony our own, while knowing that she was guiding us and everything was in her experienced and professional hands. Leading up to the wedding we also completed the Young Hip & Married vows course and it was incredibly helpful. We both wrote our own vows and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

On the day, Jane showed up early and coordinated with us and our photographer. Immediately, she was a calming presence. Throughout the ceremony, we didn’t have to once worry about what Jane was going to say. And despite the fact that we had read the script, every word Jane said was so meaningful. It was a very short wedding but regardless of the time and the amount of stuff we wanted to save for our big ceremony, we still cried and felt blessed with how Jane officiated.

Young Hip & Married has a fantastic team of people who truly care about the couples that they work with. My communication with Jackie-Deane was always fast and helpful despite ongoing uncertainties due to the pandemic. And it was such a pleasure having Jane be a part of the most important moment of our lives. One of my best friends married us, but Jane was there to oversee the signing of the certificate and she is a genuine and beautiful person who I was so glad to have for that very special moment.

Jane set the tone for the day. Inclusive, relaxed, funny, and warm; everything that we wanted for our day. Every guest commented on how great she was. Our prep was minimal and she understood our schedules and worked with us. I can’t thank Jane and Young Hip and Married enough for being a part of our day.

Jane was an absolute joy to work with. On the day of the wedding, she made us feel reassured throughout the day by being capable, clear and made us laugh at the right times to ease our nerves. The service was everything we defined at the beginning–short, fun and meaningful. We also did pre-marriage counseling with her, which I recommend doing. Our sessions brought a couple things to light that were helpful to talk through before our big day. Jane is a smart, funny, all around wonderful person whose intuitive nature makes her the perfect person to officiate your wedding.

Could not have found a better setup than this. We had a family trip planned to Canada and also had a wedding planned at some point in the future. My wife had the idea of getting married while we were on the trip with just us and the kids. After some research she found Young Hip & Married and we are so happy she did.

The communication with them was awesome. The whole process was just easy and honestly perfect. We told them where we were staying and they suggested a great place for such a small group of people. We wanted to be out in the trees and nature and they found a perfect spot. We traded a handful of emails for how to do the vows and what the officiant would read during the ceremony. They also told us exactly what we needed for paperwork since we were coming from California.

The day of the wedding we all met up and took a small walk to the spot and the rest is history. We also got a photographer and are super happy with the photos taken. After telling friends and family how the whole process went they all agreed that this was just a perfect way to get married. It was small, quick, cheap and like I said before, perfect.

Jane’s ceremony script was so personalized and sweet. She put a lot of work into making it tailored to us and did such an amazing job reading it at the ceremony. We got so much feedback from all of our guests about how much they loved it and what a great job she did. It was so special and perfect. She also made sure we felt confident and knew what we were supposed to be doing the whole time. 10/10 would recommend Young Hip & Married to anyone looking for a fantastic officiant!

Jane was the officiant for our wedding and she did such an amazing job. She was very detailed, attentive, answered all our questions, was flexible and knowledgable in editing our scripts, and provided lots of resources for helping us write our vows. Her professionalism definitely showed at our ceremony rehearsal! She knew where certain people should stand, how/when the music should be played, etc. Her speech was perfect – touching, personal, and funny. She was completely respectful of our needs and wants for our ceremony and made everything 100% about us. We will happily recommend Young Hip & Married to all our friends!

I cannot speak highly enough of Young Hip and Married. Professional and accommodating while being super affordable, they managed to roll with the restrictions on indoor dining being announced the day before our wedding and still helped make it the best day of our lives.

Our officiant, Jane, was amazing. We began our journey with her with a plan to hold our ceremony in West Vancouver, and when I suddenly broke my leg and had to rework the entire plan, and switch our location to Richmond, she was nothing but understanding and supportive. The way she ran our ceremony was wonderful. Quick, casual, but beautiful and warm – exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend her. Jane our officiant was wonderful! She was quick with replying and so patient with us as we were not the easiest in communicating back with her. Our guests were very impressed on how personal the ceremony was and it did not feel long like the traditional ceremonies we have been to. When we first met with Jane we were a bit overwhelmed at the idea of planning our ceremony. Through her interview process and subsequent conversations with us she was able to design us a custom ceremony built around our relationship, personalities and beliefs. We had met with other officiants before meeting Jane from YH &M. We found the previous ones to be quite sterile and serious, but Jane was a breath of fresh air.

We wanted to keep our afternoon restaurant wedding light hearted but very genuine. Jane never pushed anything on us that felt unnatural or corny. She was laid back but still professional which made her easy to talk to. She wrote an amazing ceremony that our guests really loved and was so personal to us.

We mentioned our favorite movies and she went and researched readings and quotes to include in the ceremony without us even asking for them, and our ceremony was so much better than we thought it could be! We allocated more of our budget to the officiant than to other details and it was definitely worth it! our ceremony was great and set the tone for the whole wedding.
