As a Young Hip & Married wedding officiant, I care about helping you create a wedding that reflects who you are and celebrates your love. I will support you as you start this new chapter together and help you design one of the most memorable days of your life!
I used to be a wedding photographer and after capturing weddings for almost a decade, I realized that it was always the ceremony that got to me. I would often be blinking back tears behind my lens while a couple exchanged their vows.
It wasn’t until a friend of mine, who was also an officiant, opened my eyes to this job that I thought about returning to the wedding industry as an officiant myself. I am honoured and excited to have this role in weddings, one where I can witness two people starting on their marriage journey together!
When I’m not officiating weddings, I work in a high school with students with diverse abilities. Like with my wedding couples, I enjoy supporting my students and helping them reach their goals.
Outside of work and weddings, you may find me out on a hike, reading or working on my new hobby of crocheting (but please don’t ask me to make anything other than a dishcloth!).
My husband and I have been married since 2000 and all these years later, we’re still laughing at each other’s jokes and making time to do new things together. We were married in a very intimate ceremony, which reflected our desire to only have those closest to us be a part of our day. I’ve always been drawn to weddings that truly reflect the couple.
