Every love story is so unique, and I have yet to hear a love story that is not worth celebrating. My goal when I do a wedding is to represent my couples in the truest form to who they are as individuals and as a couple.

I want your wedding to FEEL like you. I want your guests to walk out saying, “Wow, that was so them!” I also want your guests to learn about why you work so well together, and why they have come to this big party in the first place.

We had a 10/10 experience with Young Hip & Married! There were many bumps along the road with planning our wedding but Shawn was incredible with being super accommodating for us and planned and preformed an absolutely magically ceremony for us! The team at Young Hip & Married was so wonderful to work with. We were a bit last minute in choosing an officiant and they were very prompt in responding and so accommodating.

We chose Shawn as our officiant and he was so considerate and attentive to what we wanted. He was very professional, collaborative and mindful of what we wanted. We also had a small emergency on the day of our rehearsal and he was so kind while we sorted it out. Once we got the rehearsal going, he was so helpful and everyone knew exactly what they had to do on the day of.

Shawn put together such a beautiful ceremony and loved what everything he said. We received so many compliments from our guests! Highly recommend Shawn and the team at YH&M!

My husband and I couldn’t say greater things about working with Young Hip and Married for our big day. They were so great and easy to work with and made the whole experience from beginning to finish enjoyable.

We were looking for a fun way to elope and from the second we met Shawn and Erica, they did not let us down. They made the experience light and fun and were so easy going. It was all about us and the experience we were after. We took a helicopter tour to the top of a mountain which had incredible views. The ceremony with Shawn was super fun and the photography from Erica took our breathes away.

We couldn’t recommend this company more and now we have an amazing memory to look back on with incredible pictures we hold near and dear to our hearts. If you are getting married, they are the best and they are great to work with.

Can’t say enough good things about Shawn. He was so patient and personable and really made our ceremony feel intimate. He really takes the stress out of wedding planning even though his role is one of the most important. He was not only there for us every step of the way but did check ins throughout and was so great during the rehearsal.

Shawn's Story

My wife and I are the founders and the owners here at Young Hip & Married—I also happen to be one of our officiants. But first and foremost, I am husband to my beautiful wife Erica, whom I married in 2004, and the father to our four incredible kids: Zion, Vannden, Onyx and Emmanuella.

Although I keep very busy running the company, and being a dad to my 4 kids, I still officiate quite a few weddings every year. Erica and the kids are my inspiration for all the work I do here at YH&M and I really love love love helping people get married and stay married!

Outside of work, I love to cook (thank goodness for that because cooking for 6 everyday is no small feat), being outside (jumping off cliffs, racing dune buggies across Mexico—you know the normal stuff), and especially being outside with my kiddos.

Shawn officiated our wedding a few weeks ago and he did the BEST job! He’s so charismatic and charming, and he delivered the ceremony in such a fun and intimate way. Our guests loved him and couldn’t stop raving about how awesome our ceremony was.

We felt so comfortable working closely with Shawn. We first met at a local Starbucks and talked about what we were looking for and our expectations for our ceremony. He was great at guiding us through it and at asking the right questions, and he delivered an absolutely beautiful first draft of our ceremony that we barely had to change as it was so perfect already!
