I didn’t grow up dreaming of standing at the front of weddings. But I kept finding myself deeply moved by the ones that felt real — where storytelling, presence, and honesty came together to create a moment that actually meant something. That’s what pulled me in, and it’s why I trained and got licensed: to help couples start their marriage with something honest and memorable instead of something generic.

My favourite moment is when a couple hears their own story reflected back to them, and you can see them both soften and light up at the same time. That’s the standard I hold every ceremony to. It doesn’t need to be long or elaborate. It just needs to feel TRUE — heartfelt without being heavy, meaningful without being stuffy.

When we meet, I’ll listen more than I talk. How you met, what you love about each other, the moments that made you choose marriage, what you want your guests to walk away feeling. I’m also fluent in English and Mandarin, and most of my ceremonies are bilingual — so if your day calls for both, I’ve got you. Your love already exists. Together, we’ll give it a beautiful, honest place to stand and be witnessed.

Horace’s Story

One ceremony that stays with me was a small wedding the couple wanted to feel like a dinner party that just happened to include vows. We wove in their shared love of terrible road-trip playlists, a short reading from a book they both cherished, and a moment where guests shared one-word hopes for their marriage. It was light, specific, and full of laughter — and it still carried real emotional weight.

Outside of weddings, you’ll usually find me outdoors, reading something interesting, or trying (and sometimes failing) to keep my houseplants alive. I’ve always had a soft spot for underdogs, second chances, and any story where people choose each other on purpose.

Maybe that’s why my favourite feedback after a ceremony is when guests say, “That was so perfectly them.” That’s the goal, every single time.
